Work will take place weeknights only between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. to avoid impacting rush-hour traffic. Traffic flow during construction hours will be maintained in both directions, but occasional lane restrictions can be expected.

During construction hours, drivers can expect lane restrictions and possible intermittent lanes closures at 4400 South at 1900 West.

July 4th Weekend Update – The night crew at 4400 South will suspend work during the holiday weekend. Work will end Friday morning and resume Monday evening.

The northbound right-hand (outside) lane remains open allowing for right turns into businesses and residences. Please drive carefully in this area and obey all traffic control signs. Construction to install the new pipeline is expected to be completed by mid-August.

Next Tuesday, a crew is scheduled to complete repaving the northbound lanes of 1900 West in front of the Roy Dental Center parking lot at 4902 South where new pipe has been installed. Lane restrictions at this location will be lifted when the paving is finished.

The northbound right-hand lane will remain open allowing for right turns into businesses and residences. Please drive carefully in this area and obey all traffic control signs. Construction to install the new pipeline is expected to be completed by mid-August.

Temporary lane closures and possible left-turn restrictions (except in intersections) remain in effect daily between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the northbound left traffic lane. The northbound right lane remains open between intersections and for right turns and thru traffic at intersections. Please drive carefully in this area and obey all traffic control signs. Weather permitting, major construction to install the new pipeline is scheduled to begin the week of April 26.

Excavation is underway to replace the section of pipe in the right-of-way between the Royal Gardens Apartments and the Berwick Townhomes. Installation of the new pipe in this section is expected to take about four weeks to complete.

Next week a crew will begin excavation to replace the section of pipe in the right-of-way between the Royal Gardens Apartments and the Berwick Townhomes. Workers will erect a “safety” fence around the entire construction area. Installation of the new pipe in this section is expected to take about four weeks to complete.

March 29, 2010 - Beginning March 29, crews will begin taking soil samples in major intersections starting at 4800 South. Expect center-lane closures northbound through affected intersections between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. There will be no left- or right-turn restrictions northbound in affected intersections.

March 17, 2010 - Roy City: 1900 West from Riverdale Rd. to Hinckley Dr. – Beginning Mar. 18 and for the next three weeks, crews will be working near the median on the northbound side of the road at various locations to locate buried utilities in preparation to begin pipeline construction in this corridor. Expect temporary lane closures and possible left-turn restrictions daily between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the northbound left traffic lane. The northbound right lane will remain open.
