 Project Overview
Welcome to the Questar Gas
Feeder Line 4,5 and 11 Capacity Enhancement Project Website.

Between November 2007 and December 2008, Questar Gas will replace three contiguous sections of its system in the Salt Lake Valley known as Feeder Line 4, 5 and 11. (Feeder lines are larger, steel pipelines that supply smaller main and individual service lines which connect to meters at homes and businesses.)

This work is necessary to keep pace with increased demand for natural gas due to customer growth. It will also enhance our ability to continue providing safe, reliable natural gas service by making our system easier to monitor and maintain.

Most of the 16 miles of pipe slated for replacement are located under 3300 South and 3500 South streets between 2700 East and 6680 West. At 6680 West, the remainder of the pipe runs diagonally in a northwesterly direction to a crossover valve at the corner of 9180 West and 2400 South. (See link to map at left.)

This project will involve some nighttime and weekend work and lane restrictions. Watch this site for the latest traffic information. To avoid congestion in construction zones, motorists are advised to use alternate routes and to allow plenty of travel time to get where they're going.

This website provides general information about the project as well as current information on construction activity and related impacts on local traffic.
