Between 3100 South and 2600 South on 8000 West traffic is confined to northbound only. Left-hand turns are permitted at 2700 South and right-hand turns are permitted at 2600 South. Traffic may turn right onto westbound 2890 South and turn right from 2890 South onto northbound 8000 West.
Between 2600 South and Highway 201 on 8000 West traffic is confined to southbound only. Southbound traffic on 8000 West is permitted left-hand turns at 2600 South and right-hand turns at 2700 South.
Westbound traffic on 2700 West is permitted left-hand turns only into northbound 8000 West.

Crews are working at 6700 West, the entrance to the Hunter Park Village parkway.

ALERT! CLOSURE OF 8000 WEST BETWEEN 2700 SOUTH AND 3100 SOUTH: Starting Monday, Aug. 25, 8000 West will be closed and restricted to local access only from 2700 South to 3100 South while new pipe is installed. This section of 8000 West is expected to be closed for at least two more weeks while construction is completed.
3100 South: Major construction continues between 7200 West and 8000 West. Expect median closures and intermittent lanes restrictions EB and WB. Crews will also be working to install pipe across the 7200 West intersection. Expect intermittent lane restrictions NB and SB on 7200 West at 3100 South.
3300 South: Construction activity continues between 900 West and 1100 West. Expect median closures and traffic restricted to two lanes EB and WB. Crews are also set up and working to install pipe and a valve assembly from Redwood Road and about 1000 feet east. Some shoulder work will also be done. The median and WB left-hand lane are closed in this section.
3500 South: Mainline construction continues between 5600 West and 6800 West. Expect median closures and intermittent lanes restrictions EB and WB. Also expect intermittent lane restrictions NB and SB on 5600 West and 6400 West at 3500 South during daytime hours. Work to install a new 6-inch plastic main line on 3500 South from 8000 West to 8400 West continues. Expect intermittent lane restrictions in the work zone. Traffic may be restricted to one lane in either direction at times. Watch for flaggers.

Hunter Park Village – The new asphalt path has been installed. Sod replacement is underway. A completed section will open next week with subsequent sections opening as they are finished. Restoration of the entire parkway is expected to be finished by Aug. 15.

3300 South – Installation of new pipe and tie-in work continues between West Temple and 500 West. Crews are scheduled to pull pipe through the 500 West bore on Sunday. Watch for median closures and lane restrictions EB and WB in this section. Beginning Sunday, and through Tuesday, NB and SB traffic on 300 West will be closed at 3300 South each night from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning to allow crews to trench across the intersection. The intersection will be open all night beginning Wednesday and through the July 24 holiday and weekend.
3300/3500 South: Cleanup, repaving and major construction continues between 1000 West and Redwood Road. A bore crew is set up and working at Redwoood Road. Crews are scheduled to pull pipe through the bore Monday or Tuesday. Median closures and lane restrictions remain in effect with traffic limited to two lanes EB and WB. 900 West will be closed to NB and SB traffic at 3300 South on Saturday from 4 p.m. until Sunday evening to allow crews to complete tie-ins.

On Monday, crews will begin working at the 4800 West intersection. Expect lanes restrictions NB and SB on 4800 West at 3500 South. June 27, 2008 UPDATE
Note: Due to the July 4 holiday, next week will be a short work week. Crews will be off from Thursday, July 4, through Sunday, July 6. Construction activity will resume on Monday, July 7. Due to the holiday, there will be no weekly update issued July 5. The updates will resume on Friday, July 11.
Hunter Park Village – Restoration of the right-of-way has been delayed due to a miscommunication between the city and the contractor that resulted in the new asphalt being installed without the proper roadbed foundation. Consequently, the city has requested that the contractor remove the asphalt already installed and start over. Work has begun on the south end of the park (at 3500 South) and will proceed northwest with an estimated completion date of Aug. 15. Portions of the path will be opened as they become finished..
