Contribution Guidelines |
| |
Contribution requests should
normally be submitted in writing to receive consideration. Personal interviews
with representatives of organizations generally will not be considered until
a written proposal has been received. The Contribution Committee will then
consider whether a personal interview and additional information is necessary.
Those inquiring by phone will be advised of the policy requiring written
proposals.
A written proposal should include the following:
- the mission or purpose of the organization
- who the organization serves and why it exists
- a statement of the need or problem
- the amount requested and how it will be used
- a detailed description of the project
- a statement of the project’s purpose describing why the organization is involved with the project
- state sources of funding
Because of policy or budget limitations, Questar
will usually not contribute to:
- religious organizations for religious purposes
- individuals
- fraternal or labor organizations
- primary or secondary schools
- organizations which cannot provide adequate accounting records or procedures
- courtesy advertising
- operating expenses for colleges and universities
- national health organizations other than through the United Way
- organizations deriving major support
from government funding (federal, state or local)
- student or other group trips and exhibitions
- individual Boy Scout/Girl Scout
troops, Little League or soccer teams or any other recreational sports
leagues
- organizations not operating within
the company’s service area
An approved contribution does not necessarily indicate
that continued support will be automatically available the following year.
Questar generally does not make multi-year pledges.
Requests for support should be directed to:
