arrow Dec 7, 2011 – Next week, crews installing new pipe along 300 North and 400 North streets in American Fork and 1800 North in Pleasant Grove will begin preparations to temporarily suspend construction activity over the holidays. Ahead of the holiday shutdown, crews will remove heavy equipment from streets, plate trenches and reduce traffic control and lane restrictions as much as possible while still maintaining driver and public safety. On Jan 2, 2012, crews will begin staging equipment and construction will return to full activity by Jan. 9. Project completion is scheduled for mid-February.

Meanwhile, the section of new pipe installed from the Utah/Salt Lake County line near Point of the Mountain south to 900 North in Lehi has been pressure-tested and placed into service.

arrow Oct 28, 2011 – The crew installing a block valve at the intersection of 1800 North and 100 East in Pleasant Grove is finished and will complete asphalting and final cleanup this week.

Meanwhile:

Several crews continue trenching and installing new pipeline at various locations on the eastern section of Feeder Line 25 between 900 North and 1800 East in Lehi and 1800 North and 100 East in Pleasant Grove. Most of the work at these locations is in the middle of the road. Crews will make every effort to keep traffic flowing, however temporary lane closures and some turn restrictions can be expected to allow for movement of pipe and equipment. In addition, north/south traffic on streets that cross the construction route may be temporarily detoured around intersections. No adjacent intersections will be closed simultaneously. Flaggers are present throughout the construction zone. Please drive carefully and obey traffic control.

900 North – Major construction in Lehi on 900 North between 600 East and 1800 East is complete. Crews are preparing to test the pipe.

State Street – Major construction to replace a buried pipeline in Lehi on State Street between 1600 North and 100 East is complete. A crew is installing a six-inch tap line in the vicinity of 100 East and Center Street. There are traffic barricades around this work zone.

In Lehi on the northeast corner of 2100 North and 1450 West a crew is installing a block valve. This work is not expected to impact traffic, however the work space will extend into the road shoulder on this corner. The work zone will be marked with traffic barricades. Please drive carefully at this location.

arrow Oct 6, 2011 – Mainline construction is beginning this week on the eastern section of Feeder Line 25 between 900 North and 1800 East in Lehi and 1800 North and 100 East in Pleasant Grove. In addition to the crew already working on 1800 North from 100 East to 600 West, other crews will begin working at the following locations:

300 East and 400 North in American Fork – work will proceed eastbound and westbound on 400 North from this point.

arrow Sept 28, 2011 – Thanksgiving Way – Mainline construction to replace a buried natural gas pipeline on Thanksgiving Way (on the west side of I-15) between Ashton Blvd. north to the Salt Lake County line is complete. The frontage road north of SR 92 from the entrance to the Staker Parsons gravel pit north to the Salt Lake County line has been reopened. This week crews will finish asphalting and restriping the road and performing final cleanup.

900 North — Mainline work continues in Lehi on 900 North between 600 East and 1800 East. Crews are trenching and installing pipe from west to east. Expect some lane restrictions and flaggers-during daytime hours at intersections. Please drive carefully and obey traffic control.

State Street —Mainline construction to replace a buried pipeline in Lehi is underway on State Street between 1600 North and 100 East. Traffic is open in both directions but limited to one lane and some turn restrictions in the median. This work is expected to be completed in the next two weeks.

In the next few weeks, construction is scheduled to begin in earnest on the eastern section of Feeder Line 25 between 900 North and 1800 East in Lehi and 1800 North and 100 East in Pleasant Grove. (See map for route.)There is currently a crew installing a block valve at 1800 North and 100 East. This crew is also trenching and installing new pipe on 1800 North from 100 East to 600 West. Expect temporary lane closures and one-way traffic with flaggers in work zones. Additional crews will be added to this part of the project in coming weeks. Crew locations will be announced as soon as the schedule is completed. Stay tuned.

arrow Sept 15, 2011 – Thanksgiving Way – Mainline construction to replace a buried natural gas pipeline on Thanksgiving Way (on the west side of I-15) between Ashton Blvd. north to the Salt Lake County line continues. Crews are north of SR 92 and the frontage road is closed to traffic from the entrance to the Staker Parsons gravel pit north to the Salt Lake County line. This section is scheduled to be reopened Sept. 26th. Be aware of lane restrictions and delays on the section of this narrow frontage road that remains open between SR 92 and the Staker Parsons entrance.

900 North — Mainline work continues in Lehi on 900 North between 200 East and 1800 East. Crews are trenching at 800 North and 100 East. Work is also underway at the following intersections: 600 East and 900 North; 1200 East and 900 North; and 1800 North and 100 East in Pleasant Grove. Expect some lane restrictions and flaggers-during daytime hours at these intersections. Next week a crew will begin mainline construction on 900 North starting at 1200 East and heading east. Expect lane restrictions and temporary lane closures in construction zones. Please drive carefully and obey traffic control.

State Street — Mainline construction to replace a buried pipeline in Lehi is underway on State Street between 1600 North and 100 East. The 500 West intersection is closed during the day, but open after work hours at night. Night work begins this Sunday at 6:00p.m. at 100 East and State Street with some lane restrictions in effect.

arrow Sept 1, 2011 – Thanksgiving Way – Mainline construction to replace a buried natural gas pipeline on Thanksgiving Way (on the west side of I-15) between Ashton Blvd. north to the Salt Lake County line continues. Thanksgiving Way is closed between Ashton Blvd. and the north entrance to Thanksgiving Point. Access to Thanksgiving Point and the Megaplex Theatres is open from the west side off Ashton Blvd. Work on this section is ongoing and the crew has now advanced north of SR 92. In the weeks ahead, be aware of lane restrictions and temporary closures on this narrow frontage road.

A second crew working at night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. north of SR 92 directly in front of the Maverik Store and Del Taco has a short section of pipe left to install and will finish cleanup and repaving next week. Traffic will be restricted to one lane on this section of road during work hours.

900 North — Mainline work continues in Lehi on 900 North between 200 East and 1800 East. The crew continues to work west toward 200 East. Work on a bore at the 100 West intersection will begin this week and take about two weeks to complete. Work in the intersection will end at 3 p.m. each day to minimize impacts on rush-hour traffic and events at a nearby reception center. Work to install a new block valve at 1200 East will also begin next week. Expect lane restrictions and temporary lane closures in construction zones. Please drive carefully and obey traffic control.

State Street — Two separate crews are scheduled to begin mainline construction to replace a buried pipeline in Lehi on State Street between 1600 North and 100 East on Sept. 6.

arrow Aug 17, 2011 – Thanksgiving Way – Mainline construction is underway to replace a buried natural gas pipeline on Thanksgiving Way (on the west side of I-15) between Ashton Blvd. north to the Salt Lake County line. Thanksgiving Way is closed between Ashton Blvd. and the north entrance to Thanksgiving Point. Access to Thanksgiving Point and the Megaplex Theatres is open from the west side off Ashton Blvd. Work on this section is ongoing and the crew has now advanced north of SR 92. In the weeks ahead, be aware of lane restrictions and temporary closures on this narrow frontage road. For the next three weeks a second crew will be working at night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. to install a short section of pipe north of SR 92 directly in front of the Maverik Store and Del Taco. Traffic will be restricted to one lane on this section of road during work hours.

900 North — Mainline work is also underway in Lehi on 900 North between 200 East and 1800 East. The section in front of Sego Lily Elementary will be completed tomorrow, several days before start of school. The crew continues to work west toward 200 East. Expect lane restrictions and temporary lane closures in construction zones. Please drive carefully and obey traffic control.

State Street — Start of work in Lehi on State Street between 1600 North and 100 East has been postponed until the first week of September.

The bore under the intersection of 300 North and 1100 East in American Fork will be completed this week.

Mainline work is also underway in Lehi on 900 North between 200 East and 1800 East. A crew has started at about 800 East and is working west to complete the section in front of Sego Lily Elementary before start of school. Expect lane restrictions and temporary lane closures in construction zones. Please drive carefully and obey traffic control.

On Aug. 22 a second crew is scheduled to begin work in Lehi on State Street between 1600 North and 100 East.

Work on these two sections of new pipe in Lehi expected to be completed by Oct. 1.

On July 5, another crew will set up to begin a bore at the intersection of 300 North and 1100 East in American Fork.

arrow June 8, 2011 – Lehi near the SB I-15 1200 West offramp – A crew is potholing for underground utilities on Thanksgiving Way (on the west side of I-15) between Ashton Blvd. and Crooked Street. On June 20, this section of Thanksgiving Way will be closed so work to trench and install new pipe can begin. Motorists can use Ashton Blvd. as an alternative route to this section of closed road once construction begins.

arrow June 1, 2011 – Lehi near the SB I-15 1200 West offramp – On Monday a crew will begin potholing for underground utilities on the old frontage road (Thanksgiving Way) on the west side of I-15 starting at Ashton Blvd. and working north. Later in the week, a mainline crew will follow and begin trenching to install new pipe. The mainline crew will be working mainly on the road shoulder. Traffic flow will be maintained in both directions at all times. Temporary lane restrictions (mainly at intersections) may occur. Access to businesses and driveways will be maintained.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and to limit driving in construction zones. No interruption to residents' natural gas service is anticipated.

arrow May 26, 2011 – Lehi near the SB I-15 1200 West offramp – On June 6, crews are scheduled to begin construction to replace the section of Feeder Line 25 in northern Utah County along the frontage road (Thanksgiving Way) on the west side of I-15 between Ashton Blvd. and north to the Salt Lake County line. This work is expected to take about six weeks to complete.

Crews will work mainly on the road shoulder. Traffic flow will be maintained in both directions at all times. Temporary lane restrictions (mainly at intersections) may occur. Access to businesses and driveways will be maintained.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and to limit driving in construction zones. No interruption to residents' natural gas service is anticipated.

arrow April 22, 2011 – Lehi near the SB I-15 1200 West offramp – Crews are finishing paving and cleanup on State Street in Lehi and traffic control will be removed. A second crew working on the south shoulder of Ashton Blvd. and the I-15 frontage road (Thanksgiving Way) are finished. Future updates will be sent when construction activity on this project resumes.

arrow April 14, 2011 – Lehi near the SB I-15 1200 West offramp – Crews are installing about 1000 feet of new pipe on State Street in Lehi between just south of the 1200 West intersection to about 1800 North. Weather permitting, this work is scheduled to be completed with final paving and cleanup by April 22. During construction traffic is restricted to one lane in each direction in the work zone. Please drive carefully and obey signs and flaggers.

A second crew will finish this week installing pipe east along the south shoulder of Ashton Blvd. and across the I-15 frontage road (Thanksgiving Way). Traffic will remain open in both directions in the work zone, but expect lane shifts as work progresses to allow movement of equipment and trenching across the frontage road.

arrow April 7, 2011 – Lehi near the SB I-15 1200 West offramp – Crews are installing about 1000 feet of new pipe on State Street in Lehi between just south of the 1200 West intersection to about 1800 North. Weather permitting, this work is scheduled to be completed with final paving and cleanup by April 22. During construction traffic is restricted to one lane in each direction in the work zone. Please drive carefully and obey signs and flaggers.

A second crew is installing pipe in the vacant field between the abandoned 2100 North road bed on the south and Ashton Blvd to the north. Starting yesterday and continuing through most of next week, the crew has moved to the south shoulder of Ashton Blvd. and will be working east , eventually crossing the I-15 frontage road (Thanksgiving Way). Traffic will remain open in both directions in the work zone, but expect lane shifts as work progresses to allow movement of equipment and trenching across the frontage road.

About 1,000 feet of pipe will be installed running south on State Street over the next four weeks. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction in the work zone. Please drive carefully and obey signs and flaggers.

Next week a second crew will begin installing about 500 linear feet of six-inch diameter pipe between the newly installed large diameter pipe where it crosses the abandoned 2100 North road bed and an existing regulator station to the west. This work will take a week or two to complete and will have no impact on local traffic.

This work involves rerouting a section of Feeder Line 25 in Utah County and is being coordinated in conjunction with UDOT's Mountain Corridor 2100 North Project.

This work involves rerouting a section of Feeder Line 25 in Utah County and is being coordinated in conjunction with UDOT's Mountain Corridor 2100 North Project. Crews have completed installing pipe across 1200 West at about 1450 West and weather permitting will finish repaving this section of road early next week.
