arrow June 27, 2013 – 7500 South between Jefferson Street (300 West) and State Street – Traffic is flagger-controlled and limited to one-way eastbound and westbound to allow room for crews and equipment during construction between Jefferson Street and just west of State Street. The entrance to Cottonwood Street (NB) off of 7500 South will be closed this Friday and Saturday only while pipe is staged for the railroad track bore. During the Fourth of July weekend (July 4th-7th), between Jefferson Street and State Street, traffic will be one-way with flaggers eastbound and westbound around the clock.

7800 South between Jefferson Street (300 West) and the I-15 overpass – Crews are installing pipe in the median. Traffic on 7800 South in this section is open but limited to one lane EB and WB.

1000 East between 7625 South and Casa Negra – Traffic is flagger controlled and one-way in both directions.

Hillcrest High Dr. (7500 South) – Hillcrest High Dr. from 900 East to the entrance to Hillcrest High School (approximately 750 E.) will be closed for two to three weeks while a crew bores under 900 East.

arrow June 4, 2013 – The intersection of 7800 South and Holden Ave (805 West) – Through traffic (north and southbound) on Holden Ave. through the intersection is closed weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During those hours, there will be one lane of traffic eastbound and westbound on 7800 South.

Jefferson Street (300 West) between 7800 South and 7500 South – Trenching and installation of new pipe continues and is expected to take a couple more weeks to complete in this section. Crews will be paving from 7800 South to Park Street on June 5th. Traffic is one-way only from south to north. Flaggers are positioned at intersections and access to all driveways is being maintained.

7500 South between Jefferson Street and State Street – Traffic is flagger-controlled and limited to one-way eastbound and westbound to allow room for crews and equipment during construction between Jefferson Street east to the railroad tracks. During the Fourth of July weekend (July 4th-7th), between Jefferson Street and State Street, traffic will be one-way with flaggers eastbound and westbound around the clock.

7625 South between 1200 East and 1000 East – Major construction is complete. Crews are scheduled to complete cleanup and final paving on June 6th and 7th. Crews have turned the corner and are working northbound on 1000 East to 7500 South. Traffic is flagger controlled and one-way in both directions.

arrow  May 8, 2013 – 7800 South between 1200 West and 300 West (Jefferson St.) – Major construction is underway in this stretch with activity ongoing at several locations. Paving and striping will be completed in the next few days in front of Gardner Village. Mainline construction is scheduled to begin this week on 7800 South eastbound from the TRAX overpass. Two-way traffic eastbound and westbound will be shifted to the north side of 7800 South between 1200 West and Holden Street (815 West) to accommodate crews and equipment. Access to Gardner Village will be maintained at both entrances.

On Monday, May 13, a crew will begin potholing to identify buried utilities in the intersection of 7800 South and Holden Street (815 West). The intersection will be closed/restricted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Northbound traffic on Holden will only be allowed to turn right at 7800 South. Southbound traffic will only be allowed to turn right at 7800 South. East/west traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction. This could take as long as a week to complete.

On Monday, May 20, a crew will begin potholing to identify buried utilities in the intersection of 7800 South and Main Street (700 West). The intersection will be closed/restricted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Northbound traffic will only be allowed to turn right at 7800 South. Southbound traffic will only be allowed to turn right at 7800 South. East/west traffic will be restricted to one lane each direction. This could take as long as a week to complete.

Jefferson Street (300 West) between 7800 South and 7500 South – Trenching and installation of new pipe started this week and is expected to take three to four weeks to complete in this section. North/south traffic on Jefferson is flagger-controlled and limited to one lane in both directions. Access to all driveways will be maintained.

7625 South between 1150 East and 1000 East – Trenching and installation of new pipe will start this week and is expected to take three to four weeks to complete in this section. During construction, traffic on 7625 South will be restricted to eastbound only. Access to 1000 East will be via south on 1130 East and 1095 East to 7700 South and then west to 1000 East. Access to all driveways will be maintained.

arrow April 17, 2013 Jefferson Street (300 West between 7800 South and 7500 South, Midvale) – This week a crew is potholing in this section to identify existing buried utilities in preparation for eventual construction of new buried pipe scheduled to begin April 29. Expect minimal lane restrictions with flaggers assisting traffic until potholing is complete.

7800 South (Gardner Village) – Work is coming to a finish between Gardner Village and 1300 West. Traffic lane restrictions on 7800 South begin just east of the Jordan River and continue to 1300 West with the outside westbound lane closed. Access to Gardner Village is open during construction. Weather permitting, paving in this section will take place next Tuesday, April 23. At that time, crews will begin construction eastbound from Gardner Village, under the overhead Trax line toward the Jordan River. Work in this section is scheduled to be completed by May 10. To provide room for workers and equipment, lane restrictions in this section will remain the same with the outside westbound lane closed during construction.

arrow March 20, 2013 7800 South between 700 West (Holden Ave.) to 300 West – A crew continues to pothole in this section of 7800 South to identify existing buried utilities in preparation for eventual construction of new buried pipe. Intermittent lane restrictions are possible affecting eastbound traffic where crews and equipment will be working. Potholing in this section is expected to take about three weeks to complete.

1100 West 7800 South (Gardner Village) – The main pipeline crew is working west of Gardner Village trenching and installing new pipe westward to 1300 West. Traffic lane restrictions on 7800 South begin just east of the Jordan River and continue to 1300 West with the outside westbound lane closed. Access to Gardner Village is maintained through the east entrance at all times. The west entrance will be closed starting approximately March 27 as work to install pipe across the canal begins.

arrow March 12, 2013 7800 South between 700 West (Holden Ave.) to 300 West – This week a crew started potholing in this section of 7800 to identify existing buried utilities in preparation for eventual construction activity to install new pipe. Expect lane closures and restrictions in the left EB lane where crews and equipment will be working. Potholing in this section is expected to take about three weeks to complete.

1100 West 7800 South (Gardner Village) – Crews have finished installing about 250 feet of new pipe in front of Gardner Village, including paving and cleanup. Pending approval from West Jordan City, crews anticipate resuming work next week to install new pipe between the canal on the west side of Gardner Village and 1300 West. There are currently no traffic or lane restrictions in effect at this location at this time.

arrow February 27, 2013 1100 West 7800 South (Gardner Village) – This Sunday 3/3, crews will begin construction to install new pipe between the Jordan River and 1300 West. Access to Gardner Village will be maintained at all times. But motorists can expect closure of the outside WB lane to accommodate workers and equipment. Please drive carefully in the work zone. Weather permitting, this phase of the project -- including trenching, installation of pipe, repaving and cleanup -- is expected to take between two and three weeks to complete.

arrow January 30, 2013 300 East 7500 South (Greenwood Ave) – Work to bore under the canal at this location is underway. To accommodate crews and equipment on the south side of 7500 South, traffic is flagger-controlled and restricted to one-way EB and WB between 240 East and 450 East. By the end of this week (if weather permits), the entrance to 390 East Street from 7500 South will be closed temporarily as crews string and weld together about 800 feet of pipe above ground before pulling it through the bore under the canal. During the closure, residents can access 7500 South via Sandy Woods Lane. Please see the attached map for details. Installation of pipe under the canal is scheduled to be completed by Feb. 15 (again, provided there are no delays due to inclement weather). Please slow down and drive carefully in work zones.

1100 West 7800 South (Gardner Village) – For the next few days, a crew will be potholing to locate existing buried utilities on 7800 West between the canal west of Gardner Village and 1300 Westin. The outside WB lane will be closed during working hours when the crew is present. This activity will not affect access to Gardner Village.

Pending West Jordan City's approval of Questar Gas's construction plan, major construction to install new pipe in front of Gardner Village is scheduled to start within the next few weeks. Traffic movement on 7800 South and access to Gardner Village will be maintained during construction.

arrow January 10, 2013 720 East Hillcrest High Drive – NPL has completed the bore under the canal at this location and will finish final cleanup by the end of this week. Expect narrowing of the traffic lane on the south (EB) side of the street as workers replace a section of fence removed during construction. Two-way traffic is open EB and WB.

1100 West 7800 South (Gardner Village) – Crews will finish potholing to locate existing buried utilities in the road in front of Gardner Village this week. Expect lane closures WB on 7800 South while crews are working. Pending approval of Questar Gas's construction plan by West Jordan City, major construction to install new pipe in front of Gardner Village is scheduled to start within the next few weeks. Access to Gardner Village will be maintained during construction.

300 East 7500 South – NPL is scheduled to begin work to bore under the canal at this location next week. Two-way traffic will be maintained EB and WB on 7500 South, but expect lane restrictions to allow room for work crews and equipment. Please drive carefully in work zones.

arrow December 11, 2012 720 East Hillcrest High Drive – An initial phase of Questar Gas's Feeder Line 8 Project will begin this Saturday, Dec. 15. A crew will start work to bore under the canal at this location. The majority of the work will be conducted during Hillcrest High School's Winter Recess to minimize traffic impacts. The work zone will be set up on the south side of the street to allow room for two-way traffic. Flaggers will be present during workday hours, and two-way traffic will be maintained EB and WB. Still, motorists can expect intermittent and temporary lane restrictions to facilitate movement of pipe and equipment. Please drive carefully near construction activity.

This phase of the project is scheduled to be completed by Jan. 8, 2013. In mid-January, major pipeline construction activity will shift to 1300 West and 7800 South and proceed east for the next several months.
